Release date and gameplay out for the Cyberpunk 2077 VR Mod update
The new Cyberpunk 2077 VR Mod Update is believed to release by February 27th, 2022. VR modder Luke Ross released a gameplay video that showcased a few minutes of the upcoming VR-enhanced Cyberpunk update. He explores the environment, shows off the map, drives around the Night city in first-person and third-person, while also getting into a shootout. In a Patreon post, he talked about the critical issues related to the gameplay, commenting that the performance is impressive for a complicated and contemporary game. He stated that he was able to get 60fps when recording at 2700×2700 resolution. Interestingly, he stated that the game would feel best in VR on low resolution. The depth and clarity will be incredible while cranking up the settings will make for a hazier vision in VR.
He also emphasized the quality of Cyberpunk’s panoramas, stating that the vistas are breathtaking, which is worth noting as VR is normally at its purest when displayed at a distance. Further, he verifies the different functionalities in VR like picture mode, driving, and braindance sequence. He describes the movement controls stating that you’ll be able to turn either using the gamepad stick or by gazing in the direction that you wish to travel. For aiming guns, you’ll need to follow the look with the sights aligned with your dominant eye. While he didn’t specify the release date, he claimed that the update should be released by the end of the week (by February 27th, 2022).
